2022-07-06 UPDATE: The bundle is live and available for purchase HERE!

We are no longer accepting submissions to this game jam, but we encourage you to spread the word about the bundle.

(The last set of submissions have not been synced to the bundle yet- an itch admin needs to move them for us- but it should be updated soon!)

Note: please read this jam page carefully before submitting your project! We are using this game jam as a page for a bundle partnering with itch.io, and we need your help to keep the project organized.

In light of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and threaten and remove access to abortions, we’re assembling another solidarity bundle, similar to the Bundles for Racial Justice and Equality, Palestinian Aid, and Ukraine Relief, and other bundles for Reproductive Rights in the past and the present.

Indie game developers are small, scrappy and come from a wide array of backgrounds. But as previous social justice bundles have demonstrated: when we come together, we have the power to make monumental change.

This jam is a submission page for the Indie Bundle for Abortion Funds. The bundle will be scheduled to go live on July 3rd, 2022, and will run through July 13th. The bundle will be pay-what-you-want with a minimum price of $10 USD.

100% of the proceeds from this bundle will go to the National Network for Abortion Fund's Collective Power Fund, which moves money directly to abortion funds across 20+ U.S. states, with a particular focus on the South and Midwest (where it is often most difficult to get access to abortions). NNAF’s partnerships with these abortion funds provide direct resources and funds to many of the people most impacted by Roe v. Wade, towards immediate action.

Participation Information

This is a game jam page — where's the bundle?
As people submit their projects to this game jam, we will be consolidating the submissions into a bundle which will then go live. The bundle and the game jam pages will be linked to each other.

How do I join?
Click "Join jam", then click the "Submit Project" button to submit your project. Please submit finished work.

How does the money stuff work?
The money here goes through itch.io (it doesn’t pass through any of the organizers) — itch.io gives it directly to NNAF.

Can I submit non-game projects, such as assets, comics, books, or zines?
Absolutely. Any project on itch.io is fair game if it meets our submission criteria.

Can I submit adult content?
We want this bundle to be accessible to as many people as possible without restricting contributors by age, so please do not submit adult content.

Can I submit non-commercial projects?
If you’re submitting a free project, please only submit one item.

Can I submit multiple things?
For free works, we ask that you only select one item to contribute. If you’re contributing paid works, then please submit no more than 3 items. We think it’s important to get as many different people involved and visible as possible — thanks for understanding!

I already submitted to the bundle via Google Form/via twitter; do I need to resubmit my project again?
Yes, if you already resubmitted your project, we need you to re-submit it again! Only projects that get submitted to this game jam will be included in the bundle.

I'm already submitting my project to another bundle — can I include it in this one as well?
By all means, as long as it meets the submission criteria above.

Will Steam Codes be given for bundle purchases?
No Steam codes (or other external keys) will be given for bundle purchases. Only direct downloads will be available on the itch.io page.

I submitted my project to the jam, but it isn't showing up in the bundle yet!
The organizers of this project have to manually review every bundle submission. We'll be adding them in batches, as submissions roll in.

Can I submit my project after the bundle goes live?
There will be a brief window of time after the bundle goes live that participants can still add to it. To ensure that your project gets included in the bundle, please submit your link before the jam deadline (Tuesday, July 5th, 11:59 PM PDT).

Who is organizing this bundle?
Caro Asercion and Everest Pipkin, with advice and feedback from a wide group of activists and game developers — and direct support from itch.io. Both of us have been involved in organizing charity bundles in the past, as well as in mutual aid and activist work.

What if I want to donate directly to an Abortion Fund?
Please do- a list of Abortion Funds by state is available here; https://donations4abortion.com/funds-by-state
